Sky Blue
The look of Sky Blue
Sky Blue has a cool, pale grey ground with a faint blue cast. The photographed slab carries soft grey veins and, towards one edge, a warmer rust-colored vein. It is sold as a dolomite rather than a marble.
Its light tone and polish make it a good fit for bright bathrooms and elegant walls. The color and the warmer veins can vary, so choose from the actual bundle. Read how this rock type differs in our guide to dolomite and marble.
Any bundles listed on this page are real stock, photographed in our yard, each with its own code. Send us the codes you like, with your quantity and destination, and we will reply with a price and shipping offer. If none are listed, ask us about availability.

About Sky Blue dolomite
Sky Blue is a grey dolomite from Turkey and comes polished. Dolomite (dolostone) is a carbonate rock made mainly of the mineral dolomite, a calcium magnesium carbonate. In the stone trade it is sold alongside marble and looks much like it, but it is usually a little harder and denser than calcite marble.
Sky Blue slabs are cut from the block on our own gangsaw line and processed in our factory in Turkey, then photographed bundle by bundle in our yard.
Typical properties of dolomite
- Rock familyCarbonate rock, rich in magnesium
- HardnessAbout 3.5–4 on the Mohs scale
- PolishPolishes to a bright, even shine
- AcidsLess reactive than calcite marble, but not acid-proof
General values for dolomite as a stone family, not a lab test of this block.
The finish
- Polished
- Ground and buffed to a mirror shine that shows the full depth of colour and veining. Best for interior walls, vanity tops and floors in dry areas — it can be slippery when wet.
Where to use Sky Blue
- Kitchen countertops and islands
- Vanity tops and bathrooms
- Interior floors and wall cladding
- Stairs and window sills
- Commercial interiors
Dolomite can be used outdoors with a honed or textured finish.
Care
Seal after installation and clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner; wipe acidic spills promptly.
